The Colorado Youth Climate Summit (CYCS) is an educational initiative co-designed and co-led by youth leaders to empower young people to address the impacts of climate change in their local regions.

The CYCS is powered by Lyra. 

An informal, open, respectful, confidential space to safely share emotional responses and reactions related to the climate and environmental emergency.

Winter/Summer/Fall Terms 2024
The Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education offers this asynchronous 8-12 hour course for educators to re-ground in planetary climate systems, center climate justice, and consider collective solutions all in your contexts. Course designed and instructed by Sarah Johnson of Wild Rose Education.

Western Colorado University Teacher Institute

Begin (or continue) your journey of becoming a climate change educator by pairing concrete facts about the mechanisms of climate change with the human elements: climate justice, personal experiences, storytelling, and collective action.
